Villa Woods Farm
Since 2016, we have worked with forestry specialists from both the private and public sectors to inform our unique approach to managing a tree farm.
We use lightweight equipment to limit our impact on the forest floor. We pay attention to detail, taking into consideration how what we do will affect the long term trajectory of a forest.
Creating and caring for Old Growth areas is also something we believe in and have hopes of restoring some of the now rare and unique species of flora—like American Ginseng and the Lady Slippers Orchids.
While most of our work will gradually develop over long periods of time, what we do today, along with the forest’s innate ability to heal itself, will help us achieve our goals sooner.
The lifecycles of a forest take place over several human lifetimes, and we are humbled by our predecessors and their influences as they continue to teach and inform us in this work and in this life.
